What did Malik say about fasting the six days of Shawwal?

Regarding fasting six days after Eid al-Fitr, Yahya said, I heard Malik say he never saw anyone from the people of knowledge and fiqh fasting them. Nor has that been transmitted to me about any of the salaf. The people of knowledge disliked it. They fear it would be innovated then considered part of Ramadan by the ignorant.
