How Much Hair Must Be Cut to Exit Ihram in Maliki Fiqh?

If one does not wish to shave their head to exit the ihram of Hajj or Umra, both genders must cut from all of the head. The male’s length is cut down to near to the roots and scalp. The women’s length is only a segment/phalanx (about one inches). Khalil says:

ثم حلقه ولو بنورة إن عم رأسه والتقصير مجز وهو سنة المرأة: تأخذ قدر الأنملة والرجل من قرب أصله
