Is it permissible to start the fast in major ritual impurity (Janaba) in Maliki Fiqh?

Question: Is it permissible to start the fast in major ritual impurity (Janaba)? For example, one has relations with their wife a few minutes before fajr?

Imam Khalil mentions from among the things that are permissible in fasting that waking up and starting the fasting in a state of major ritual impurity (janaba) is permissible, albeit it is sub-optimal. So one’s fast would still be valid if they woke up like this due to having sexual relations or due to waking up from a wet dream.

And Allah knows best.
